RCP President's Medal Awarded to British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine Past President at Harveian Dinner

The British Society is delighted by the award of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians President‘s medal to Professor Lynne Turner-Stokes.  The medal has been awarded for Specialist medicine with wider areas of application.  The President's Medal is awarded to one or two individuals/year who have rendered exceptional service to the College but in this, the RCP 500th anniversary year, an exceptional eight medals were awarded.  In making the awards Professor Dame Jane Dacre also acknowledged that very many people contribute to the work of the RCP and make it the organisation it is today.  Lynne highlights the award as  "good recognition of the fact that Rehabilitation Medicine has a lot to offer other specialties, particularly in relation to the 3 W’s that Dr Andrew (Bod) Goddard has set out as the key themes for his RCP presidency (Workforce, Well-being and World-wide) - all of which resonate with things that BSRM is trying to address" -  BSRM Offers heart-felt congratulations to Lynne for this recognition of her tireless work.
