Professor Anthony Ward from Stoke on Trent is presented with the 2015 Individual Haim Ring Award by the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, for his contribution to Rehabilitation internationally

Professor Anthony Ward, Rehabilitation Medicine Physician in  Stoke on Trent is presented with the 2015 Individual Haim Ring Award by the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, for his contribution to Rehabilitation Medicine internationally.

The nomination is the latest international recognition which Professor Ward and his colleagues at the North Staffordshire Rehabilitation Centre, based at Haywood Hospital, has received for innovation, service and developing international education.

Following the announcement, Professor Ward said; “The award is now presented annually with competition from all over the world. It recognises good practice and pays special attention to services that present advanced and innovative approaches to support the participation of people with disabilities in society.

“It is named after the late Professor Haim Ring, who contributed enormously to the advancement of physical and rehabilitation medicine in his country, Israel, and to the international development of specialist rehabilitation medicine.
